CELEBRATING WOMEN EVERYDAY

CELEBRATING WOMEN EVERYDAY

International Women’s Day is celebrated annually on March 8th to recognize the achievements of women around the world. It is a day to celebrate the successes of women, to recognize their struggles and to support their fight for gender equality. The day also serves to remind us of the work that still needs to be done in order to achieve gender equality and to empower women everywhere.

Women’s Day serves to remind us all that gender equality is still far from being achieved and that it requires a concerted effort from all of us to create a world in which every woman can live with equal rights, dignity and respect.

Even though we don’t believe in just one dedicated day to celebrate and acknowledge women, we do appreciate the celebrations all around the world by individuals, organizations and governments to honor the progress that has been made, to raise awareness of the challenges that still remain and to call on people to take action to help achieve gender equality.

We at Hersheinbox believe in celebrating women every day through our fashion and we would like to share our thoughts on 3 iconic women, who we absolutely adore, who made, created or changed the history in fashion.

PRINCESS DIANA
“I am a free spirit. Some don’t like that but that’s who I am.”

One of our most favorite persons to have ever lived is Princess Diana. She had a major influence on fashion during the late 20th century. She was known for her daring style choices and her willingness to try new trends. She often wore bright colors and bold silhouettes and was never afraid to make a statement. Her iconic looks have been emulated all around the world and even inspired designers to commission their collections based on her style. Her influence on fashion continues to be felt today and she remains an inspiration to many.

MARILYN MONROE
"Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world."

Marilyn Monroe had a lasting influence on fashion trends. She popularized the classic "little black dress" as well as the hourglass silhouette. She was also known for her signature makeup look, which included heavy eyeliner, long lashes, and red lipstick. She was also a pioneer in the use of costume jewelry, wearing bold, statement pieces. Her sense of style and her timeless beauty continue to inspire fashion trends today.

COCO CHANEL
"I don’t do fashion. I am fashion."

Coco Chanel is widely regarded as one of the most influential fashion designers of all time. Her influence on the fashion world is still felt today. She revolutionized women’s fashion by introducing comfortable, functional pieces in fabrics such as jersey and tweed. She was also a pioneer in the use of costume jewelry. She broke down orthodox sartorial codes by integrating masculine and feminine elements in her designs. She defied societal and gender norms to create extraordinary fashion for women. Her legacy continues to be felt in the fashion world today and is something that nobody can match or even recreate for generations to come.

We believe that being a woman is wonderful and there’s so much to celebrate about womanhood. Women have been the backbone of society since time immemorial, and their contributions to our world have been invaluable. We at Hersheinbox will definitely be taking more opportunities to appreciate more such women who have and who are continuing to make a difference by breaking societal norms.

Afterall, at Hersheinbox we have always believed in the philosophy – Be all that you can be!
